Tedeschi Trucks Band Release “Future Soul” Single, Announce New Album and Expansive 2026 Tour
Tedeschi Trucks Band return with their new track “Future Soul” a perfect slice of their trademark mix of soulful turns and modern production. The track heads up their forthcoming album of the same name which is produced by Mike Elizondo and marks an evolution for the band while still staying true to their signature sound. And alongside the new release the band is revealing a massive 2026 tour including headline shows and festival dates as well as special collaborations throughout the U.S.
A press release from Tedeschi Trucks Band’s management revealed that the Future Soul tour will kick off on April 14th, 2026 in the Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas, TX.
Back to the new single, “Future Soul” is the focus track and the official radio single from Tedeschi Trucks Band’s new album, Future Soul. “Future Soul” finds Tedeschi Trucks Band pushing through an ever-shifting musical and technological landscape, turning uncertainty into a defiant, full-bodied anthem.
Watch “Future Soul” as delivered by the Tedeschi Trucks Band on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show:
With Future Soul, Tedeschi Trucks Band expands their horizon without losing the roots that ground them. Produced by the genre-bending Mike Elizondo (known for his work with Brothers Osborne, Dr. Dre, 21 Pilots and Turnstile.), the album finds the 12-piece ensemble exploring deeper grooves and richer textures than ever before. Future Soul stands as both a reinvention and a reaffirmation: a vibrant next chapter for one of America’s most formidable bands. Lyrically, the record looks forward as much as it looks within—grappling with identity, resilience, and hope in uncertain times. Elizondo’s production adds subtle modern touches—warm bass, layered percussion, and space for the horns and background vocals to shine—without sacrificing the organic interplay that defines the band’s live magic.
Artist Quote:
“Future Soul” is the band trying to bust through and navigate an ever-changing musical and technological world. Mike Mattison is a master at clarifying a vague feeling into song. It’s an anthem pushing back against an artificial landscape all the while knowing that the world is going to move on whether we like it or not. But you don’t go down without a fight.“
