Gibson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is proud to present the\u00a0Serj Tankian \u201cFoundations\u201d Les Paul Modern,<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0unique guitar and experience package inspired by Tankian\u2019s\u00a0<\/strong>FOUNDATIONS<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0EP<\/strong>\u00a0released last fall on\u00a0Gibson Records<\/strong>\u00a0and part of a series of\u00a0Gibson Custom Collaborations<\/strong>\u00a0with\u00a0legendary Gibson artists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launching worldwide on\u00a0April 17,<\/strong>\u00a0this special package is limited to 25 only,<\/strong>\u00a0and will include a signed\u00a0Gibson \u201cFoundations\u201d Les Paul Modern<\/strong>, a\u00a0signed vinyl copy of Tankian\u2019s FOUNDATIONS EP<\/strong>, a signed copy of his memoir \u201cDown With The System,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0signed 18 x 24\u201d museum-quality print of Tankian\u2019s artwork titled \u201cSunburst,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0which is also featured on the new guitar and the EP cover, and\u00a0a pair of VIP tickets to an upcoming\u00a0<\/strong>System Of A Down<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0concert of the buyer\u2019s choice.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SERJ TANKIAN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As the lead singer and songwriter for System Of A Down<\/strong>, SERJ TANKIAN<\/strong> has released five studio albums, winning a GRAMMY\u00a9 Award<\/strong> in 2006 for \u201cB.Y.O.B.\u201d<\/strong> he\u2019s performed for millions of fans and sold more than 42 million albums worldwide<\/strong>. Serj <\/strong>is also a solo artist, composer, activist, painter, poet, and filmmaker<\/strong>. TANKIAN<\/strong> was introduced to the melding of cultures, ideas, and ideals<\/strong> from a very young age. An Armenian born in Lebanon<\/strong> and raised in Los Angeles, <\/strong>the principles learned from this integration have led to his understanding of the oneness of all things and have since maneuvered and transfigured into the music and art that he lives to create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last fall, SERJ TANKIAN released FOUNDATIONS, his EP of new music, worldwide on<\/strong> Gibson Records<\/strong> HERE<\/strong><\/a> to some of the strongest critical acclaim of his career.  FOUNDATIONS<\/strong>, TANKIAN<\/strong> says is, \u201cA retrospective of songs from different eras of my life, meant to complement the memoir,\u201d<\/strong> and capped an incredibly prolific year for TANKIAN, from the release of his memoir <\/strong>the New York Times<\/strong> bestseller Down with the System<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, <\/em>to the massive, sold-out System of a Down headlining show at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco with over 50,000 fans.<\/strong> But even as he is now revealing his \u201cfoundations,\u201d TANKIAN<\/strong> is already looking ahead. \u201cThe next record will likely be a record of covers, collaborations and collages,\u201d he envisions.<\/strong> Credit his restless, ever-curious creative spirit. \u201cI\u2019m always moving in different directions,\u201d TANKIAN says. \u201cRepetition is boring, and the death of art.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
