The tour starts in August with three shows in British Columbia, followed by a September tour of the EU\/UK in cities including Dublin, London, Paris, and Berlin. Growing up in <a href=\"https:\/\/livemusicblog.com\/news\/sunsquabi-drive-in-run-steamboat-springs-colorado\/\">Colorado Springs<\/a>, their friendship preceded the band. Throughout high school, Mitch and Nic played on the same sports teams, launched YouTube channels, went on hiking trips, shot home movies, and eventually decided to record an album of their own. In 2017, the band cut their self-titled debut, RMCM. Unexpectedly, the one-minute and 27-second intro &#8220;Evergreen&#8221; went viral on TikTok, and it has since generated over half a billion Spotify streams and the group has averaged north of 20 million monthly listeners on the platform. It notably has cracked the Billboard Hot 100, Hot Rock Songs Chart, and Hot Rock &amp; Alternative Songs Chart. Since then, the band has released two additional albums, Solstice [2018] and Subliming [2019], completed two headlining tours, and performed at festivals including Lollapalooza, Under The Big Sky and Hinterland.<br \/><br \/>Along with the band&#8217;s friendship, another constant in their life was the phrase &#8220;Colorado&#8217;s on fire again&#8221;, the first line of their new song &#8220;Berry Herman&#8221; and a sentence the band grew up hearing almost every summer. &#8220;I grew up splitting time between Colorado Springs and Florissant in Southern Colorado,&#8221; Cutts shares. &#8220;Florissant is near the massive burn scar of the Hayman Fire of 2002, and Colorado Springs is known for the Waldo Canyon Fire of 2012 and Black Forest Fire of 2013. For most of my life, these were all on the list of the most destructive fires in the state&#8217;s history. They displaced families, destroyed forests we grew up in, and took away our chance of returning to that area for years; it would never be the same.&#8221;<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>This devastation also led to rebirth, a theme that the band captures in the album, both in the literal sense, the way charred pines lead to new sprigs, as well as figuratively, in how people constantly reinvent themselves, burning off old layers to build themselves up from the ashes. &#8220;This album overall is about the coupling of devastation and restoration,&#8221; Cutts says. &#8220;Like wildfire, there&#8217;s a cyclical nature of devastation and restoration to everything we feel in this life &#8212; the culmination of love is grief, but the pain we all feel will eventually end.
